We are pleased to offer this stunning '67 Shebly GT500 Fastback. Shelby #00426 was shipped to Hayward Ford in Hayward, CA on January 26th 1967. This is an early built GT500 with inboard headlights. Finished in correct Dark Moss Green with Gold stripes over Black interior (original interior color was Parchment). Originally optioned with power steering, power disc brakes, shoulder harness, fold down rear seat, exhaust emission control system, deluxe wheels and 4 speed transmission. In 2006, Shelby #00426 received a fresh new 427FE all-aluminum powerplant (Engine# CSX674) built to spec by the masterminds at CSE Carroll Shelby Enterprises at a cost of just over $25,000. The 427 was bored and stroked to 482 cubic inches with billet crankshaft and dual quad setup with correct Holley BJ-BK carbs and correct intake manifold, Shelby street/strip cam and hydraulic lifters, Shelby stainless steel roller rockers, Shelby Signature Stage II ported heads, Forged Pistons, PRO MSD ignition and more. The engine was dyno tuned on May 11th 2006 and put out an astonishing 555hp @ 5800 RPM and 594 lb-ft torque @ 4000 RPM. 10.5:1 Compression, Bore 4.250, Stroke 4.250. Detroit Locker rear axle with 3.89 gear ratio, 31 spline axles.
