Appearing now in our Pleasanton showroom, this outstanding 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is as nice as they come. As we say, it is indeed a "resto-mod" but has been painstakingly put together in a, dare we call it, fairly understated fashion. Outfitted in a combination of dark and light teal paint on the outside, over an impeccably crisp charcoal gray interior, this Bel Air retains most of the classic lines of the '50s icon, with some nice updates that are not garishly over-the-top. , Powered by a very strong crate GM 350 V8, you drive smoothly down the road with a TH 350 automatic transmission. Power steering and a tilt steering column make that drive as delightful as possible, while refinements such as a multi-disc Sony CD player with remote control add to the on-the-road experience. Also equipped with Vintage air conditioning, a new carburetor and exhaust, intake manifold, water pump, new Goodyear low profile tires (225 50ZR 17 in front, 255's in the rear), this three-year old restoration looks as good as anything rolling off the showroom, anywhere. Adding to the "cool" factor are Boyd Coddington alloy wheels and other custom upgrades to the interior., Resto-mods can usually be a risky proposition, either due to the final, very personally appealing appearance or the dollars invested, significantly narrowing the market down the road. Such, however, is not the case with this stunner, and be confident that this Bel Air looks significantly better in person than even our professional photographs show it to be.,
