1965 was the second year of offering the Malibu up-scaling to the Chevelle lineup and this classy convertible is a clear example of why the Malibu was Chevy''s top seller. This is a beautiful red fully restored drop top where retaining the original showroom appearance has been achieved. The minimum exterior bright work with Malibu emblems and front recessed floating headlights against blackout grille, and Rally wheel covers really give the car a clean sleek look. Under the hood is a completely restored motor compartment with an original matching numbers rebuilt 327 CID small block engine. The stock 4-speed Muncie manual transmission with cue-ball floor shifter and factory 12 bolt Posi-traction rear end puts power to the road. The interior seating has been completly refitted and the new red vinyl covering holds true to the original design pattern, including chrome accents. The new manual white top roof is stored under an interior matching boot with excellent fit and trim.
