1970 Mustang Boss 302 - 1970 Orange Boss 302 description This is a very nice well sorted and well documented Boss 302. It has all the right stuff and is ready to roll. Exterior: My orange 70 Boss 302 is a factory drag pack shaker car. It has had only one repaint, which was done in the early 90s. When it was repainted, the color was changed from lime green metallic to calypso coral. The paint is nice, better than driver quality in my opinion. I did have the hood repainted, which matched the color of the rest of the panels really well. The body panels, by the way, are all original. I have not put the stripes on the hood yet, but I do have the stripe kit. All the tail lights, side marker lights, turn signal lights, rubber door seals, window felts, and turn signal are original except for the headlights. All the glass is original except for the windshield but I did replace it with a correct coded front windshield. Window trim, roof rail moldings, front and rear bumpers, and door handles are still in great shape. Drive Train: I had the motor rebuilt by Ron Williams Engineering, the cylinders were still in great shape so it didn€™t need to be bored out, only a light hone with new rings on the pistons and new bearings for the rods, crank, and cam. The block is a D1ZE dealer replacement block that still has the original heads and internal components along with the correct date coded carb, distributor, intake, and shaker air cleaner assembly. Trans was rebuilt and is the original to the car. Rear end is rebuilt by Coast Drive Line and still has the 4:30 gears in the N case. Interior: Interior is still all original, even the carpet, under which I discovered and pulled the build sheet. The seats, carpet, dash, and headliner are in great shape with no holes or tears. Odometer reads just over 64,000 miles, which I believe to be accurate due to the overall original, good condition of the car.
