This is an all steel car including fenders with new running boards. Frame is custom built from 2x4 inch ¼ inch thick tubing heavily cross braced and triangulated. Engine is a Chrysler 392 hemi from a 1958 Imperial. It is bored 0.060 over with 9:1 pistons, a Howard hydraulic cam, stock heads with Hot Heads headers. It has a 6-71 Littlefield blower with 800 cfm Edelbrock carbs. Engine was professionally built by one of the best blown engine builders on the east coast. Transmission is a Muncie M71 wide ratio driving 2:88 gears in a narrowed Jaguar independent rear suspension. This ratio proved to be perfect for the lower RPM high torque Hemi. Clutch is a Centerforce on an aluminum flywheel. Wheels are 15 inch American racing Torque Thrust II, 6” wide in front, 8” in back, with BF Goodrich rubber. Car has less than 700 miles since completed. Front suspension is independent stock except for lowered spindles, disc brakes, and Vega style steering box. Both the brakes and steering are unassisted, both of which work very well on the road.
All glass has been replaced and interior is white vinyl. Front seats are buckets which have not been upholstered to match the otherwise complete interior which includes seat belts for the front.
This is not your typical 350/350 combination, it is the real thing with an increasingly rare original Hemi and a real 4 speed manual transmission.
Real hot rods have 3 peddles.
This not a trailer queen it was built to drive. I have too many other things that keep me from enjoying it and I need to make room in the garage for a new project.
