If you own or have owned one of these fine Buick automobiles you know what an exciting, luxurious car they are. The convertible was based on a new body style for Riviera, introduced in 1979. Changed little over the next seven years, this body style has gone down as the best selling Riviera of all time. By 1982 GM Brass was feeling pretty good about this car and decided to introduce a convertible version in the spring of 1982. This being the first for Buick since 1975 and the first convertible of any kind to come out of GM since the “The Last Of A Breed” 1976 Cadillac Eldorado was axed. Here is a sweet example of the 1983 Buick Riviera convertible. It is quite a rare car, 1 of 1750 built by ASC in 1983 and is loaded to the hilt. It has a 5.0 liter V-8 with automatic overdrive transmission, power steering, and power brakes. It has a very nice body with good paint, trim, chrome, and glass. The leather interior is very nice and features dual power seats, power windows, power door locks, power remote control outside mirrors, tilt, cruise, leather wrapped steering wheel, AM/FM cassette stereo, power antenna, automatic climate control, and power top. Vogue tires and Buck wire wheel covers, pin, stripes, body side moldings, and gold package were a sign of the times. This car runs, rides, and drives like a dream. You may recall they were quite expensive back in the day. Now is the time to snap up this pure luxury classic. Financing, insurance, and delivery are available.
