Stunning ’78 Porsche 911 Carrera 930 Turbo Coupe with only one owner from new and now with only 49k original miles. This early 930 Turbo was professionally converted to a slantnose done right with a proper all steel kit. It also has a 935-style fiberglass front spoiler. The rear sides have been vented just like the originals. At the time of the conversion it was also changed from the original Chocolate Brown to the Burgundy Metallic you see here. The wheels are RUF polished aluminum wheels., The interior is the original leather and looks fantastic, non smoking owner so it smells like new, the cigarette lighter has never been used. The leather itself is supple and in truly excellent condition, the original factory carpets are clean and appear like new, they're not faded at all and show minimal wear as they have benefited from good quality over mats. The center console is a custom made unit designed to hold the VDO clock and cassette player, the clock was moved down from the dashboard to accommodate a VDO boost dial, though it hasn't been connected. The center console has been trimmed using the same leather as the rest of the interior and looks as though it was done by Porsche themselves. Fitted in the dashboard is a CD player, connected to both the cassette player and amplifier contained inside the front trunk., The original motor has been enlarged from its standard 3.3 liters to 3.5 liters by the use of larger pistons and barrels. At the same time a K27 turbocharger, upgraded Andial intercooler, along with variable boost via a dial in the cockpit have been fitted. During the rebuild various upgrades including hydraulic timing chain tensioners and a rotary A/C compressor have been installed. The oil was just recently changed along with a new Porsche factory oil filter., The original transmission has been replaced by a 5 speed manual 915 gearbox, at the same time an RSR clutch was installed, it shifts perfectly and the synchros are excellent., The original toolkit supplied by Porsche is there along with the plastic bag containing the tire changing gloves and even the factory supplied plastic "flat tire" bag. A new heavy duty battery has just been fitted.
